Comprehensive Cancer Control Plan

Comprehensive Cancer Control is defined by the Centers for Disease and Control as "an integrated and coordinated approach to reducing cancer incidence, morbidity, and mortality through prevention, early detection, treatment, rehabilitation, and palliation."

This plan will be used as a guide to how American Samoa approaches cancer priorities in the territory and it involves a diverse group of stakeholders who must coordinate their efforts to implement such a plan. Currently, this project is being funded by the CDC and administered by the American Samoa Department of Health. Implementation efforts are being made by the Coalition and updates are communicated at every Coalition meeting.
